Mozilla 开发的Firefox 63.0 Beta 5 (Quantum)发布更新了，对于Linux平台来讲，WebExtensions已经能在Linux上运行了。该版本最大的改变是来自于对Windows 10系统的支持上，现在的Firefox主题已经可以与Windows 10实现明暗搭配。不过在macOS平台上的改进就更大一些了，WebGL电源首选项允许非性能关键应用程序和applet在多GPU系统中请求低功耗GPU而不是高功率GPU，这有助于省电，并且macOS上的运行效率，尤其是一直被诟病的标签页切换速度也得到了提升。
注：在Firefox浏览器后台是不支持更新到测试版功能的，所以要安装Firefox 63.0 Beta 5版本只能是手动下载源码包编译。
